The day when Pakistan was independent is called 14th August 1947 and that was also last day of British rule. Pakistan Movement has huge part in the independence of Pakistan and aimed of this movement is to create independent Muslim state in South Asia because of this all Indian Muslim League made under that leadership of Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

On 27th Ramadan, according to Islamic calendar Pakistan Independence Day was celebrated. The ceremony was held in Islamabad and the flag lifted up at presidential and parliament building and national anthem and speeches also followed.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah was a great leader. He secured the interest of Muslim in British India. In 1940s Muslim League plays great role for the creation of Pakistan as a Muslim State in South Asia. Within three days a formal political statement was presented in session of All India Muslim League from 22-24 March 1940 called Lahore Resolution.

After a long period of British Rule (near about 200 ears) in India and Pakistan, these country got freedom in 1947. Since the power of transfer took place on the midnight of 14 and 15 August, the Indian Independence Act 1947 recognized 15 August as the birthday of both Pakistan and India. The act states..
“As from the August 15, 1947, two independent states(A Muslim State and Hindu State) shall be set up in India, to be known respectively as India and Pakistan.”
